Many fluent speakers of our language are Elders residing in various regions of Alaska. We are actively fundraising to travel to their homes and support their vital work on the language. I have pictures of some esteemed Elders that I have worked with throughout the years that I respectfully recognize: Markle Pete, Helen McLean, and Jeanie Maxim. All are deeply thought of in the best way, and I hope to continue their work going forward in a good way.
